List of accepted files to upload to the website

In this article, you will learn what types of files you can upload to your project.

If you have purchased a package of premium services Mini, Standard, Profi or Business on the project, you can upload almost all types of files.

Uploading .exe etc. files is not allowed due to the frequent misuse of these formats for the spread of viruses, Trojan horses, spyware, and other malicious programs.

For security reasons, only certain file types can be uploaded in the free version or with the Limited package.

The maximum size of the uploaded file in the free version and with the Limited package is 8 MB. With the premium Mini, Standard, Profi or Business package, a file with a maximum size of up to 400 MB can be uploaded to the site. We recommend that you use some external storage to upload larger files due to the increased limit of transferred data when downloading them frequently. For example, you can use Google Drive.

How do you know what type of file you are uploading?

1. On your computer, right-click on the file and select "Properties".

2. In the window that opens, find the item "File type". If it does not match any of the above, it is not possible to upload it to Webnode in the free version or with the Limited package.

TIP: Instructions for uploading a file that the site visitor will be able to download can be found under the link here.

TIP: If you have a file that is not supported, you can try programs to change the file type. These are usually free to download or can be exchanged online.
